What ever happened to this lawsuit? I was contacted by mail in regard to joining the lawsuit and I never heard back... sounds like Patrick Cox got away with our money... does anyone know.

yes pay your taxes and taxmasters makes the irs looks like bad boys. It was a scare tactic. In the end my taxes were fixed in proper way and it was not taxmasters after payment of $3500.00. This was bad I kept all my paperwork and sent it in as claim. I was so mad I kept the paper work to remind me not to fall for something stupid again like this.

Yep same story here too! They got us for $8000 three years ago ... put them on the backburner to deal with IRS myself, (which is still ongoing to this day), and here I am 3 years later to attempt research on how to recover that money which brings me here......Too late to even get anything back....well at least someone will get it....rather them than the IRS...........lol

I was taken for about $1500 but will find the paperwork of what I did pay.After talking to taxmaster I was told if I payed $3200 my debit would be paid but as time went on I was then told it would be in payments up to $10,000 they then stopped taking my phone complaints and sent me to voice mail.If there is a way to get back my money please contact me. Thank you

Tax Masters took me for 8K.
I can hardly believe that I was convinced that they would help me to reduce my tax debt from an IRS audit for 3 years of tax returns totaling over $23K. After they got my money, they were very difficult to contact and speak with concerning any of the papers being requested by the IRS. I responded to all of their request and sent the responses to Taxmasters. I found that I was the only one interested in resolving this matter. I made the decision to do my own research for settling the case and contacted my local district office for the IRS and submitted the papers required and they settled. I have filed my claim with the Bankruptcy court to recover my $8K. I am hoping for a favorable result to the scam that Tax Masters has perpetrated on America.

I had high hopes for tax master but after finding out about them I stopped all payments and tried numerous times to get my money back and never could.We the public should never have to deal with companies like this and all it did cause me alot of heartache and trust in looking for someone that will be honest in my tax problem

First of all, how did the Tea Party get brought in on some of these comments? The Tea Party - the REAL Tea Party, that is - stands for Fair Taxation and reducing the power of our government AND the IRS.
Second, there are very legitimate reasons why people would seek help with their tax issues, or even have tax issues in the first place. Brad, obviously you've never been in that situation - yay for you. I could make a broad statement about you based soley on your "dipsnots" comment; but then, that would require me to lower my integrity and compassion level to your's. My recommendation to you is to not stand too close to the walls of your glass house in which you live so not to get too badly injured when the rocks are thrown your way.

I am a victim as well. $4000.00 and not one bit of help. The hate and anger within me toward Patrick Cox is beyond measure. If I ever see that evil fat beast, I may want to lower his blood pressure down to zero. I feel about the same for Kerryn Kizzee who was supposed to handle my case and never responded. I hope with all my heart, mind, and soul that they greatly suffer someday for what they did.

We here dont have problems with paying PROPER taxes that are justified. In my case, aLL my income exists in the form of annuity payments that are TAX FREE. (taxes having been pain on the premiums paid over a 20 year span.) So, the IRS HAS the proof .. in my old tax forms. Yet they claim the taxes are due. TaxMasters never even replied to my legal and proper explanation! They did , however, manage to take me for $6000. You are wrong to believe that the IRS doesnt err.

it took them 2 years and i constantly road their butts but they negoatiated the IRS down to 17% of what we owed. then they dropped the ball and did not setup payments.. now i am screwed and i guess have to deal with the IRS myself...

one might think this site a fraud if you screen and don't post information given about TaxMaster's bankruptcy and how these folks can file a proof of claim to get some of their money back. seems to me the only interest here is to earn attorney fees on a class action lawsuit - shameful!

Tax Masters HAVE filed a Chapter 11 bankruptcy - in fact they then attempted to convert it to a Chapter 7 and walk away from all of this but the court would not let them. Anyone that has been taken by these folks can file a proof of claim with the texas bankrupcty court and may at least get a little of your money back.

I was foolish to even start with these dogs. I could never get to talk to anyone, at least who made any sense. On hold all the time. I contacted my Capital One and they would take off a payment, then put it back on my account. This went on and on. After contacting the BBB, Houston, I sent Capital One the letter concerning Taxmasters from them. They were rate "F". Capital One played games with me too for about 6 months. I have NOT paid them and will not pay them what TaxMasters stole from me. They have harrassed me, but I put a stop to it. Now....comes this Class Action Law Suit against this big fat s.o.b. I'm sure they have other creditors who are into this mess also! Well, I finally went to the IRS and told them everything. Know what?? They helped me! I don't know why I didn't go to them in the first place. They treated me with kindness and respect. At one point, they advised me they were aware of Taxmasters, and 'others' like them, and were working to 'get' them. It's happened!! I have every single email, paper, correspondence available! I was asked three times to sign over Power of Attorney from Taxmasters. Why in God's name didn't I 'get it' after the second time? Maybe they were into me for money, I don't know. I have saved emails sent to me and mailed to them. I have every single item stashed away for evidence. I think, when it comes to the IRS, people get really scared....frightened and desperate. We who have been taken by these filthy rotten people must let Americans know the IRS doesn't want us in jail! They want to help settle our case and will do what it takes to help taxpayers. The first time I contacted the IRS, told everything about my problems, I actually cried with relief. There were more contacts of course, but I am ashamed I did not call them from the start.

Paid taxmasters $8000. They reduced my tax debt from $135000 to $24000. Guess I was one of the few they helped.

i pd taxmasters over 5k, no resolution even up to a month ago i called taxmasters and ?'d the rep should i be worried abt my case cuz i'm getting threatening letters from IRS and the SOB rep assured me everything is fine and taxmasters we handle everything. How do you owe 33k in taxes? Some people dont even make that in a year... just saying I don't know how so many people owe so much in taxes. Unless you own a business or make 200k a year I can't understand! Sorry for your troubles, though.
