I was on Seroquel for many years as prescribed by one doctor. I gained 340 pounds in a year while on a large prescription and didn't know what the cause was until one really terrific Ph.D./MD/Psychiatrist put it all together and took me off of Seroquel. But it was too late -- I had already become diabetic by then, My whole body has become one big mess. The settlement can't ever match make up for my pain and suffering. T think that this needs a further class-action lawsuit.

I can say that I was harmed in more ways than one. Looking back , what I received in compensation doesn't remotely cover the amount of pain and suffering that I now have

The only people who earned any real money in this suit were the lawyers! The victims got a few thousands dollars each and now live with ruined health.

I was prescribed Seroquel for my insomnia I was told to take 3 of the 200mg tablets a night. As of four years ago I was diagnosed as a diabetic. I wish I had known what was going on or been informed of this lawsuit. I guess its too little too late for me. I could certainly use the money to help pay for my diabetic medications that I will now have to take for the rest of my life.

Seroquel has worsened my chronic low potassium. I am even on potassium meds. Not only that but I found out, after finding out that I have left atrial enlargement, that low potassium can cause that, as well. Unfortunately, the local hospital has done a lot wrong. They have lied to me abt my test (blood) results & their radiologists don't even really look at my scans either. As a matter of fact, a few state that my gallbladder and uterus look normal. I had my gallbladder out abt 3 or 4 yrs ago & my uterus out abt 17 or 18 years ago.

The hospital told me my blood work looked perfect. I found out from a doc I had a different kind of appt with that it didn't look perfect. The hospital sent me home with heart attack, stroke or cardiac arrest potassium levels. They told me my EKG was completely normal as well. It was completely abnormal!! That is not the first thing that happened there. Their reviews are mostly bad, that's for sure.

Anyway. The seroquel makes me sleep from 14 to 18 hours when I take it, unfortunately.

My boyfriend ended up hospitalized from this medicine and what ya know diabetes he never had before had multiple seizures from it too never had them either took for mental health issues

It was given to me for insomnia ( I had no other issues, I was a healthy weight and other than light anxiety and insomnia I was in a great place) - it caused severe fatigue, night terrors, paranoia, severe weight gain (30-40 lbs in a few months with no increase in food intake) and possibly changed my metabolism - I was recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes stemming from the weight gain - no clue if the diabetes and Seroquel are linked but it all went downhill from there

I went sleep a lot gain a lot of weigh start from 25mg to 100 mg my doctor took me off it

Actually, I had 2 deep vein thrombosis this year (2013) prior to being released from hospital necessitating a longer stay. I was lucky it happened in the hospital as I could have died rapidly. The dvt's were in an uncommon location, right arm from elbow to shoulder and second one in my right clavicle. Study released in 2010 in the UK details the high risk of dvt's using Seroquel which I was on in high doses. Can't find a class action lawsuit. Blood specialist said they were trying to figure it out as the locations for the clots were in uncommon locations. Here in Canada no one at the hospital knew of the study released in 2010.

my fiance has been taking seroquel for 2 years. He was just diagnosed with diabetes.
