This medication caused a "modafinil induced psychosis" at only 50-100 mg dose within the first few months of treatment.

I take Nuvigil 250mg 3 times a day, Ritalin 20mg 4 times a day and I still have trouble staying awake if I sit too long. I have taken more Nuvigil but really it doesn't make a difference. However if I don't have it, I'm in bed. I'll take my chances with the side affects then go without it. My quality of life is most definitely better on this medicine. No matter how you look at it, something's going to kill you. Pick your poison. Quality of life is what the most important part is. We are on borrowed time regardless so make the most of what God gave you. But stop these nonsense law suits unless you have a real life changing reaction. A doctor ruined my back and I had a legitimate case but it was 1 month before statute of limitations were over. No lawyer would touch it. So now I have a broken, ruined back and pain every single day of my life. It sucks. But. I'm alive and so are my girls. Dance like no one is watching and love like there's no tomorrow. Follow the golden rule!!

I've been taking Provigil 200mg 2xday since 2006 for off label.issues. Up until 6 mo nths ago, it worked quite well and I was able to function. however, though paperwork from cephalon denied tolerance to the drug, over 7 years I must have built up a tolerance because it suddenly just stopped working. I tried uping the dose and tbat only was a very short term solution. Now I am working with my Drs to come up with a solution.

This isn't a sleeping pill (ding-bat!) it's an UPPER! More specifically, it's a compound that causes a wakeful state without the normal crash produced by traditional CNS stimulants. (caffeine, amphetamines, etc)

I dont know about all these different sleeping pills. They seem to cause such awful side effects Im certainly staying away from this one...
