I had all the symptoms of a heart attack and was in a recliner for two days and could not hardly move. I also had the feeling of a tight band encircling my head, squeezing with tremendous pressure and squeezing especially hard over my temples. In addition to the heart attack symptoms and pressure around the head, I also had stunningly powerful shooting pains stabbing through my mid-section towards my back. I had taken a Gas-X Prevention tablet that morning (as well as one the night before), one from a bottle that has been recalled. I had not yet heard of the recall at the time. I never connected my experience with the recall until late 2011/early 2012, because that is when I first heard of the recall. I am wondering if the symptoms I experienced could have been due to having taken the "Gas-X Prevention." I never took any more of the bottle after what had happened, and never had a repeat of the experience. Now that I have read that Joyce had heart attack symptoms as well, I know I need to pursue this further. How do I go about looking into this further? I spent a lot of money trying to get well.

Re: Novartis Issues Recall

had severe adverse reactions within one hour of taking excedrin migraine. Symptoms similar to one may experience with heart attack. Happened EACH time I took the excedrin migraine that I purchased on December 20, 2011 at Sams Club near our home. First took the medicine on January 3, 2012. Severe symptoms began within one hour of taking. Finally ended up in hospital on January 6, 2012. Spent three days and endured many tests that they even had to put me under to administer. Took no excedrin migraine headache medicine from January 6, 2012 until January l5, 2012. Within one hour of taking, the heart attack feeling was back. I suffered tremendously. Dr. ordered stress test after the January l5, 2012 episode. I suspected the medicine was causing my symptoms by that time and even took bottle with me to heart doctor. Upon arriving home from my grueling stress test while under IV, I found a letter from Sams Club saying my excedrin migraine was on the recall list. Please post your adverse reactions. My letter from Sams Club says that Novartis had asked them to "recall any of this product sold since 03/05/2007". That is right! The letter says----March,5 2007!!!! I have only purchased Excedrin Migraine ONCE in my life at Sams Club and this is what I have been through, not only physically and emotionally, but financially!
