I applied at two different companies last year. One hired me, and I started training. Both ran backgrounds. I was let go of at the one I started because of background stuff that came back on criminal charges that were dropped. And that is the reason that I didn't get the other job.

Try contacting LexisNexis Risk Solutions (Consumer Dept) and dispute any Public Record Court Related items reporting inaccurate and over time limit FCRA violations. Tell them because they are not able to verify Court related information FCRA law states it must be removed. Also tell them No Court reports to credit reporting agencies. LexisNexis is a data furnisher to the (3) credit bureaus. Once anything is removed from LexisNexis consumer report the (3) credit bureaus have to remove it as well.

Please add me. I applied for a job with the State of NC. Pass all exams and was given a position. Was denied the job because of a felony over 20 years. (foodstamp)

I have been denied by Door Dash several times. I tried re-applying again but they won't even update my account or help me as they are still using the old application I did over a year ago and the results from Chekr are still the same. Uber and Lyft were the same scenario with Chekr, denied, and I was also denied by an Independent Contractor to drive for Amazon by Chekr. Their website stated they were 420 friendly, yet I couldn't be qualified for having a 5 year old DUI. I even let them know I don't even drink at all anymore, that I am on medication, Naltrexone, that I absolutely can't drink while on it...just to prove myself STILL after all these years. I still got denied a job, a livelihood, and a right to work. It's very sad that Companies are doing this to people who are willing to work.

I have been denied by many companies including Door Dash, Uber, Lyft, many many different places and the only thing on my record is back in 08 and was a misdemeanor at that shouldn't show anymore yet still denied work

So does Tractor Supply when you fill out the online application. They should not be asking this if you live in the state that does "Ban the Box" such as Illinois does.

I worked for a facility management company. I told the hiring manager that I had a felony charge when being interviewed. He had me write down explaining what happened, and he did not turn it in with the application. Well, my felony did not show up on my background check. It was over 20 years earlier. Someone that had worked at the place found out that I had been in jail, they complained about it, and when it got back to my manager, who is a new manager, he and HR suspended me on the spot, and I fired me a week later over the phone.
For this job, I relocated and closed my business; I had worked there for almost two years when this happened. It was an $80.000 plus a year job. It took me three years to land a decent job. I almost lost my house, and it cost me a divorce.

I had a felony show up on my record when i applied for an apartment which is false and in return i was denied the apartment.I payed a $35 application fee.please add me.Mistie Wheeler

I was convicted of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle when I was 16, and held in juvenile until I tore, recharged as an adult. That felony has hanged over my head ever since.

i meanmost companys u fill out apps for are asking if u had government assistance and what kind of assistance whos name its in which is discrimination itself and people turned me down most times just because i have tatoos on my hands and i have 4 kids im trying to raise

I have been offered a job and then had said job offer rescinded after putting in my 2 week notice from my other job, luckily my previous employer had no problem dismissing the 2 week notice, but it was crushing to me for them to cite the background check as a reason for me to not have a basic office support position.

I know it's been 4 years since you typed your response on here but I want to thank you for your courage and everyone else as well. After writing my comment above I thought of the millions of undocumented workers Democrats want to make citizens just for the votes but legal Americans get stabbed in the back! We need more felon advocates to stand up and do something!
