I had the DePuy AML stem and Pinnacle Acetabular system with the Ultamet Liner Head system THR in June 2010. Trouble after 4 months, big pop lots of pain, no explanation from Dr, referred for second opinion. Metal in blood. Now scheduled for revision surgery in July of this year 2011. STAY AWAY FROM THE MOM IMPLANTS! Total bummers. Not sure what firm to call, suggestions appreciated.

i believe the whole system needs to be looked at. I have the pinnacle polyethelene liner and am experiencing hip discomfort and popping and feels as though it can dislocate at any time but the doc states thats normal! Not in my books....

These metalonmetal systems seem contrary to good sense. Shouldn't DePuy investigate all of their products at this point?
