I have been taking this drug Actenol for 8 years and have suffered 2 spinal fractures and have sacral iliac deteriation at this point I am scheduled for another spinal exray in a few days and I'm so mad. I am taking Morphine, valium and muscle relaxants to help with the pain and it just masks it some and helps but it also comes with side effects! Thank you FDA for researching the drugs on the market like you used to do years ago but for some reason you just push them through on the public to find out the side effects at this point instead. Please go back to the testing you used to do before you released the drugs and stop thinkng about the money you can make. It's just disgusting.

Over the past 2.5-3 years ago I had a spinal fracture that I could not figure out why because all my life I've golfed and been very active. I have since gone down hill with another fracture of the spine and a sacral iliac joint disease happening. I take morphine, valium and muscle relaxants to try to control the pain but it doesn't really do that much. I am left with living on these medications and going to pain clinics and If I were any of you out there I would speak quickly to your doctors to find another drug that won't make you like swiss cheese when it's supposed to be making your bones stronger. The pain that comes with this is excruciating and even if you can get a persciption for morphine it only masks the problem and comes along with it's own side effects. Basically our FDA has failed us once again!

The same happened to me, and I got very, horribly disabled and painful before it stopped several months later. The nasal spray Miacalcin will help both with the pain and to stop the process. My event happened in 2005, and my feet still fracture spontantously. I think the drug shuts down the bone building process, and we are left to demineralize.

I took this drug on Friday, 6/3/11, at 7;30 a.m about 12 hours later I developed back pain. By 2:00 a.m it was so severe I could not turn over in bed. Pain has continued since then. At times it eases and then suddenly gets worse. I have to use extreme caution in rising, sitting, bending or standing as the pain is excruciating at times. I feel like I have poisoned myself. I am 60 and very active usually walk half hour a day and practice yoga daily. I can hardly walk now. I have no idea when the effects may wear off. I will never take this again.

Mom was given Actonel 2.5 years ago. Now has Osteonecrosis of the Mandible. On top of it she has Kaiser doctors not sure how to treat have not addressed the problem rapidly. Meanwhile necrosis is worse. Do Not Take This Med.

I recently took this drug given to me as a sample from my primary care i took the 150mg tab. i took this on a Saturday morming and by Saturdy evening i was very stiff . I just wanted to aydown lots of aches and pains . I laid stiff in my bed all night I could not even roll over. On sunday morning the pain was so great Esp in my back that i had to be taken to the ER I could not move . i was given morphine Vallum and a muscle relaxer for the pain. I still could not move so 7 hrs later I was admitted . I was put on another pain med that was 8 times stronger than Morphine . I was so out of it . I know it was this drug . I am a very active 57 yr ol I go to the gym 5 days a week . It is a week later and I still am having pain. my whole body aches I had never had befor. this is an awful drug very bad . I strongly suggest no one try this. I was not released until tuesday and I was still in a lotof pain and still am one week later .Deanna
